Our life is composed by beliefs, behaviours, traditions and images but there is something beyond. This is the sensitiveness with which we have to see the reality of the world.
It is important to talk about the art of seeing is affected but what we know or what we believe in. That occurs because all of us are diverse.
In addition, that happens because our previous knowledge helps us to structure a more complete sight or appearance of what we watch.
Certainty, we can see and we can be seen too. This is related with our position in space and time. When we see, we situate ourselves in a certain place. In contrast, when we are seen there is a spectator who situates us in a place.
So, the way in which we see has different approaches or meanings of what see represents, according to our history that includes the past.
I think that the art in general is more common for us through mass media. That is why the art of seeing has a familiar feature. That is, being a social work out which implies to understand spontaneously, with just watch, our culture, our past and our identity.

I think you could get into the text very well. You highlighted the fact that we can be seen too. As you, I also think that art is everywhere. I agree with you.

Your summary touches upon key elements of the text. It´s very well structured and it includes a lot of well developed ideas that show that you you´ve understood the message.
As you´ve put it very well, history, i.e. our past, will impact our present, our beliefs, how we approach new situations and challenges. Identity also plays a crucial role on how we see. If we are aware of who we are, chances are that we will be able to share and accept different perspectives much better. This, in turn, will play a key role as an English teacher, don´t you think?
